At 42 years old, while sitting in a neurologist’s office at University of Penn, my wife and I heard the words we were dreading. Parkinson’s Disease. The wave of relief that came with finally knowing, was quickly replaced with a waves of fear for the future for our family of four. Our lives had changed forever. While clinging to the hope Young Onset would progress slowly, within five years the left side of my body was rocked with tremors, and I wasn’t sure how I could keep going.
This is when I learned of the life-changing treatment called Focused Ultrasound.
